Our Story
Solharbor was originally founded in the US and UK in 2011 with a vision to bridge the gap between ambitious growth and operational excellence in financial services. Our founders recognized that many promising companies were constrained not by market opportunity, but by internal operational challenges that could be solved through intelligent application of proven technologies and methodologies.
After years of building expertise across diverse industries and markets, we formally re-entered the US market in 2023, driven by a surge in client demand for AI-powered solutions and operational intelligence. This renewed focus allowed us to combine our decade-plus experience with cutting-edge artificial intelligence capabilities to solve the modern challenges facing growing companies.

Siddharth Kaul
Founder & Partner
Sid Kaul is a technologist, entrepreneur, and former finance executive with a unique background spanning software engineering, applied AI, and institutional risk management. He began programming at a young age and was among the youngest consultants to the United Nations in New York and the Institute of Cancer Research in London where he created some of their first enterprise web applications. His academic credentials include degrees in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College London and a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
Sid started his professional career in Pricing and Modelling Technology at UBS Investment Bank, later joining GAM as lead Quant and Senior Risk Manager of their Global Macro fund, and eventually serving as Chief Risk Officer at Cairn Capital, a credit-focused asset manager with $9bn in AuM.
He founded Solharbor to build ventures that combine intelligent software, and data-driven customer centric focused solutions for companies navigating complexity and growth. He also co-founded the India Partnership Forum and collaborates with academic institutions on the safe and meaningful adoption of AI in business. Sid brings strategic clarity, technical depth, and long-term thinking to every product, platform, and partnership.
James Leo
Partner
James Leo is an accomplished technology leader with over 30 years of experience in software development, technology architecture, and project delivery, spanning both global financial institutions and fast-growing startups. Most recently CTO of Dealcierge, a venture backed by Standard Chartered Ventures, James led cross-functional teams in developing platforms that blended traditional finance with emerging technologies such as blockchain and Web3.
Throughout his career, James has successfully scaled technology teams and delivered complex projects across startups and SMEs, consistently applying Agile and Scrum methodologies to accelerate delivery and improve product outcomes. His leadership has helped organizations transform legacy systems into modern cloud-native architectures, while fostering strong collaboration between business and technical stakeholders.
With a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London and an Executive MBA from London Business School, James combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, and is particularly passionate about developing product managers and technical leaders in SME environments.
